Bernie Parent was one of the best goaltenders in the 1970's, leading the Philadelphia Flyers and the Broad Street Bullies to 2 consecutive Stanley Cup Championships in the 1970's, winning both the Vezina Trophy and the Conn Smythe Trophy both seasons. Many consider those 2 seasons the best 2 consecutive seasons ever by a goaltender. His 47 wins in 1973-1974 is the record for most regulation time wins in a single season by a goaltender. Bernie began his career with the Boston Bruins, and retired after the 1978-79 season following an eye injury that ended his career. His jersey #1 has been retired by the Philadelphia Flyers and Bernie was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1984.
