Johnny Bench is regarded as one of the greatest catchers in baseball history. He played his entire 17 year career with the Cincinnati Reds, from 1967-1983. As a rookie, he won the ROY award, and went on to win 2 NL MVP awards, 10 Gold Glove awards, was named to 14 All-Star games, won the 1976 World Series MVP and was a key member of the Big Red Machine, helping the Reds to win six division titles during the 1970's, as well as 2 World Series titles. During his carrer, Johnny Bench hit 389 homeruns, had 1,376 RBI's and was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989.
