Billy Smith led the New York Islanders to 5 straight Stanley Cup Finals from 1980-1984, winning 3 of those championships from 1980-1983. He helped the Islanders win a record 19 consecutive playoff series during that time. In 1982, he won the Vezina Trophy as the league's best goaltender, and in 1983 won the William M. Jennings Trophy for fewest goals allowed and also the Conn Smythe Trophy as Payoff MVP. Billy retired with 305 career regular season wins and was selected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1993.
